Located along a key north-south corridor between Louisville and Nashville, Bowling Green has long played a central role in Kentucky’s transportation story. From steamboats navigating the Barren River to the heyday of the railroad, and now modern interstate systems, our community has always been on the move.

At the heart of that legacy stands the L&N Depot—built in 1925 and once bustling with over 20 daily trains. Today, the Historic RailPark & Train Museum brings that era back to life through hands-on exhibits, restored railcars, and educational programming that honors our rich transportation heritage.

The RailPark is powered by passion—but it also depends on the generous support of donors like you. All proceeds from our museum, gift shop, and railcar tours go directly toward the continued restoration of our historic railcars and development of immersive, Smithsonian-quality exhibits.
